The Ferrari Roma is already a stunning sports car, with its sleek design and elegant profile. However, a one-of-a-kind Roma Spider has taken the beauty of this car to a whole new level. This custom convertible Roma was created in collaboration with Montblanc, inspired by their iconic Meisterstück pen. This unique vehicle is part of Ferrari’s Tailor Made customization program, showcasing new manufacturing techniques and exquisite craftsmanship.
One of the standout features of this special Roma Spider is the use of laser etching throughout the design. The hood of the car features a compass rose design with the geographical coordinates of Maranello etched into it. Recycled materials were also utilized, with recycled tire threads used for interior stitching and recycled aluminum incorporated into the body. The seats and dashboard are upholstered in chrome-free Nappa leather, adding a touch of luxury to the interior.
The real showstopper of this custom Roma Spider is the wood accents. Ferrari sourced wood from a controlled origin for the tonneau cover, side sills, and rear floor. Even the front floor mats feature a matching wood texture, with gold Ferrari badges adorning the wooden sills. The attention to detail and craftsmanship in the woodwork is truly impressive.
The car is finished in a striking Oro Mida paint job, a color not commonly seen on modern Ferraris. To complement this unique paint job, a matching Meisterstück pen with hand-worked Au750 solid gold and platinum-coated accents was created. The custom design motif on the pen mirrors the one found on the Roma’s hood, creating a cohesive and luxurious aesthetic.
While this exceptional Roma Spider won’t be available for purchase just yet, it will be showcased at the ‘One of a Kind’ exhibition at the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Italy. The cost of creating such a bespoke vehicle is undoubtedly substantial, but the result is a truly exceptional and one-of-a-kind masterpiece that showcases the pinnacle of Ferrari’s craftsmanship and design expertise.
