Xiaomi EV Achieves Record Monthly Deliveries of Over 29,000 Units in March

Xiaomi EV, the electric vehicle (EV) unit of Xiaomi, has once again set a new record by delivering over 29,000 cars in the month of March. This marks the sixth consecutive month that Xiaomi EV has surpassed the 20,000 units delivery milestone.

Despite not providing specific figures like other local EV makers, Xiaomi EV expressed confidence in reaching its annual delivery target of 350,000 units. The company’s current capacity ramp-up is progressing smoothly, reflecting its commitment to meeting the growing demand for electric vehicles in the market.

One of the key highlights for Xiaomi EV in March was the official launch of the SU7 electric sedan, positioned as a direct competitor to Tesla’s Model 3. The SU7 comes in three variants – Standard, Pro, and Max – with starting prices ranging from RMB 215,900 to RMB 299,900. Deliveries of the different versions commenced in April and May 2024.

In addition to the SU7 series, Xiaomi EV also introduced the SU7 Ultra, a high-performance electric sedan with a starting price of RMB 529,900. Deliveries of the SU7 Ultra began in early March, offering customers a premium option within the company’s product lineup.

Looking ahead, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the YU7, an electric SUV that will directly compete with Tesla’s Model Y. The company’s expansion plans include the development of a second EV factory in Beijing, with construction already underway on a 53-hectare plot in the Yizhuang district. The new facility is expected to significantly increase Xiaomi EV’s production capacity and support its long-term growth strategy.

With a strong focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, Xiaomi EV is poised to continue its upward trajectory in the electric vehicle market. The company’s relentless pursuit of excellence and commitment to delivering cutting-edge products underscore its position as a key player in the rapidly evolving EV industry.
