Xiaomi EV achieved a remarkable milestone in August by delivering a record 36,396 vehicles, marking the second consecutive month of surpassing the 30,000-unit mark. This success comes on the heels of July’s impressive 30,452 deliveries, showcasing the brand’s consistent growth and performance in the electric vehicle market.

One of the standout performers for Xiaomi EV in August was the YU7 SUV, which accounted for 16,548 units delivered, representing a significant 45.47 percent of the total monthly deliveries. This surge in production for the YU7 SUV is a testament to Xiaomi EV’s commitment to expanding its product range and meeting the growing demand for electric vehicles in the market.

The SU7 electric sedan also continued its strong performance in August, delivering 19,848 units and maintaining its position as a top-selling model for Xiaomi EV. Despite a slight decline from July’s figures, the SU7 recorded a 51.38 percent year-on-year increase, underscoring its popularity among consumers.

Since its launch in late March 2024, the SU7 has been a key player in Xiaomi EV’s lineup, with cumulative deliveries reaching 339,421 units by the end of August. The electric sedan has proven to be a formidable competitor in the market, offering three variants and attracting a loyal customer base.

On the other hand, the YU7 SUV, launched on June 26, has quickly gained traction in the market, with deliveries nearly tripling from July to August. This surge in demand for the YU7 has propelled Xiaomi EV into China’s top 10 new energy vehicle (NEV) sales rankings for the first time, further solidifying its position in the competitive electric vehicle market.

Despite facing unprecedented factory capacity constraints due to the overwhelming response to the YU7, Xiaomi EV remains committed to meeting consumer demand and expanding its market presence. With delivery wait times of up to 55 weeks for the YU7, Xiaomi EV is working diligently to streamline its production processes and ensure timely delivery to customers.

Overall, Xiaomi EV’s record-breaking performance in August underscores its position as a leading player in the electric vehicle market. With a diverse product range, strong sales figures, and a focus on innovation, Xiaomi EV is poised for continued success and growth in the industry.
