Xiaomi EV, the electric vehicle (EV) unit of Xiaomi, recently achieved a significant milestone by delivering its 200,000th vehicle. The company has experienced remarkable success in the automotive market, with its latest achievement symbolized by a young couple receiving the milestone vehicle in a special red exterior color.

It is worth noting that Xiaomi EV managed to deliver its first 100,000 vehicles in 229 days, while the second 100,000 units were delivered in just 119 days. This rapid pace of delivery showcases the growing demand for Xiaomi EV vehicles in the market.

The SU7 model, which has been on the market for a year, continues to attract strong demand, with customers currently facing a wait time of over 30 weeks for delivery. This extended wait cycle reflects the popularity of the SU7 among Chinese consumers, with the model maintaining its appeal even after a year of being on the market.

Xiaomi introduced the special red exterior color for the SU7 on December 31, 2024, as a limited-edition option to celebrate the company’s 15th anniversary. The SU7, officially launched on March 28, 2024, is positioned as a competitor to Tesla’s Model 3 and offers three variants – Standard, Pro, and Max – with varying starting prices.

The success of the SU7 is evident from the over 248,000 locked-in orders received in 2024, with cumulative deliveries exceeding 135,000 units. The model has consistently achieved monthly deliveries exceeding 20,000 units for the past five months, totaling over 180,000 units delivered as of March 1.

In a significant development, Xiaomi unveiled the SU7 Ultra on February 27, featuring 1,548 Ps of maximum horsepower based on the regular SU7. Priced at RMB 529,900, the SU7 Ultra is set to begin deliveries on March 2, offering customers a high-performance electric sedan option.

Looking ahead, Xiaomi has ambitious plans to sell EVs in overseas markets by 2027, further expanding its presence in the global automotive industry. With a strong track record of success and a growing lineup of electric vehicles, Xiaomi EV is poised to make a significant impact in the EV market in the coming years.

Overall, Xiaomi EV’s rapid delivery milestones, strong demand for the SU7 model, and future expansion plans signal a promising future for the company in the electric vehicle sector. As Xiaomi continues to innovate and expand its offerings, customers can expect more exciting developments and advancements in the EV market.
