Xpeng, a leading Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker, has made significant strides in expanding its presence in international markets. The company recently announced its entry into Italy, one of Europe’s top five automotive markets, during the 2025 Milan Design Week. At the event, Xpeng showcased its P7+ electric sedan, humanoid robot, and the X2 flying car from its subsidiary Xpeng Aeroht at the ADI Design Museum.

Italy is a key market for Xpeng as the country is a pioneer in Europe’s electrification transition. The Italian government has set ambitious targets for NEV production capacity and the expansion of the charging network, making it a strategic location for Xpeng’s global expansion efforts.

Over the past two years, Xpeng has been actively expanding its presence in international markets. By the end of 2024, the company had established a presence in 30 countries and regions, with plans to cover over 60 countries and regions by the end of 2025. Xpeng’s chairman and CEO, He Xiaopeng, has set a goal for half of the company’s car sales to come from overseas in the next 10 years.

In Europe, Xpeng has successfully entered markets such as Germany, France, the UK, Spain, and Switzerland, among others. The company has ambitious plans to further expand its sales points in France and increase its market share in the local NEV market.

Xpeng’s entry into Italy marks a significant milestone in its global expansion strategy. The company’s focus on innovation, sustainability, and cutting-edge technology has positioned it as a key player in the rapidly evolving EV market. With a strong presence in Europe and plans for further international expansion, Xpeng is poised to become a major player in the global automotive industry.
