Xpeng’s latest addition to its lineup, the P7+, has made quite the splash in the market with an impressive number of firm orders soon after its launch. The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer announced that the P7+ received a staggering 31,528 orders within just three hours of being made available for purchase, setting a new record for the company.

The P7+ was unveiled at a launch event on November 7 and quickly caught the attention of consumers. By midnight Beijing time on the same day, Xpeng had already received over 31,000 firm orders for the sedan. This overwhelming response demonstrates the strong demand for electric vehicles in the market and highlights Xpeng’s growing popularity among consumers.

The sedan comes in two regular variants with starting prices of RMB 186,800 and RMB 198,800, respectively. In addition, Xpeng also offered a limited edition of the P7+ with a starting price of RMB 218,800, limited to just 500 units. The limited edition quickly sold out, indicating the high level of interest in the new model.

Featuring a sleek design and impressive specifications, the P7+ is a mid-to-large-sized electric sedan with dimensions larger than its predecessor, the Xpeng P7i sedan. Powered by lithium iron phosphate batteries from Eve Energy, the P7+ offers a range of up to 725 kilometers on a single charge, depending on the battery pack capacity.

One of the key highlights of the P7+ is its fast-charging capability, with the ability to charge from 0 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes using a fast charger. The sedan is also equipped with Xpeng’s driver assistance system and XNGP (Xpeng Navigation Guided Pilot) functionality, providing an enhanced driving experience for consumers.

Production of the P7+ is taking place at Xpeng’s plant in Guangzhou, ensuring that the sedan’s production is not affected by capacity constraints at other facilities. With the strong demand for the P7+ and its impressive features, Xpeng is well-positioned to continue its success in the electric vehicle market.

Overall, the P7+ has proven to be a hit among consumers, with its record-breaking number of firm orders signaling a bright future for Xpeng in the electric vehicle industry. The sedan’s combination of sleek design, advanced technology, and impressive performance make it a compelling choice for consumers looking to make the switch to electric vehicles.
