Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) is gearing up to officially launch the updated G6 electric SUV next week, following its debut last week. He Xiaopeng, the company’s chairman and CEO, took to Weibo to announce the upcoming launch, without specifying a date.

The 2025 G6 is set to hit the market with limited production in its first month due to supply chain constraints, according to He. The company is working diligently to address this issue before the official launch.

Initially unveiled at an event on February 28, the new G6 has already started making its way to Xpeng showrooms and has been well received by consumers. The SUV is designed for the global market and will be available in both left- and right-hand drive versions.

Xpeng’s international reach is expected to expand to over 60 countries and regions this year, with the all-new G6 set to be introduced in these markets in the near future.

The 2025 G6 marks a significant upgrade from its predecessor, with 81 exterior, interior, and feature enhancements. The SUV measures 4,758 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,650 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,890 mm.

Built on an 800-volt high-voltage platform, the updated G6 comes equipped with a battery pack that supports 5C charging, allowing for rapid charging. The model was recently listed in a regulatory catalog by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) without any mention of LiDAR technology.

With a price range of RMB 199,900 ($27,450) to RMB 276,900 in China, the 2025 G6 offers a compelling option for consumers looking for an advanced electric SUV.
