Zeekr, a prominent electric vehicle (EV) maker, has officially kicked off pre-sales for its highly anticipated Zeekr 9X large luxury hybrid SUV at the 2025 Chengdu auto show. The official launch of this impressive vehicle is scheduled for the end of next month, generating significant buzz among automobile enthusiasts.

The Zeekr 9X boasts a starting price of RMB 479,900 ($67,340) during the pre-sales phase, making it one of the pricier models from a Chinese domestic automaker. Customers have the option to choose from three variants – Max, Ultra, and Hyper – priced at RMB 479,900, RMB 499,900, and RMB 569,900 respectively. To sweeten the deal, Chinese buyers can enjoy a RMB 10,000 discount on their final payment by making a RMB 5,000 deposit during the pre-sales period.

This six-seat full-size luxury SUV offers impressive dimensions, measuring 5,239 mm in length, 2,019 mm in width, and 1,819 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,169 mm. Powered by a 2.0T engine and utilizing a full-stack 900-volt hybrid high-voltage architecture, the Zeekr 9X is the first model built on the SEA-S platform, which was introduced by Zeekr in July as the industry’s first dedicated luxury hybrid architecture based on an all-electric platform.

The Zeekr 9X’s three silicon carbide motors deliver a remarkable combined peak output of 1,030 kW (1,381 horsepower), enabling exhilarating acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds. Additionally, the SUV’s battery pack comes in 55 kWh and 70 kWh options, offering a CLTC range of 300 to 380 kilometers. Both battery packs support rapid charging rates up to 6C, allowing for a 20-80 percent charge in approximately 9 minutes and a 10-80 percent charge in 10.3 minutes.

Equipped with the Zeekr G-Pilot H9 smart driving solution, the Zeekr 9X marks the automaker’s first model to support level 3 autonomous driving. The vehicle features dual Nvidia Drive AGX Thor chips, delivering impressive computing power of up to 1,400 TOPS, and is outfitted with five LiDAR sensors for enhanced safety and efficiency.

The 2025 Chengdu auto show, where Zeekr’s booth is located at H1103 in Hall 11, is currently underway and will run until September 7. This event serves as an excellent platform for showcasing the innovative technology and design of the Zeekr 9X to a wide audience of automotive enthusiasts and industry professionals.

As Zeekr continues to make waves in the EV market, the launch of the Zeekr 9X represents a significant milestone for the brand, showcasing its commitment to innovation and luxury in the realm of hybrid SUVs. With its cutting-edge technology, impressive performance capabilities, and sleek design, the Zeekr 9X is poised to make a lasting impression on the automotive landscape.
