Zeekr Makes Its Debut in Brazil with the Launch of Zeekr 001 Shooting Brake

The automotive market in Brazil is set to witness a new player as Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of the Geely Holding Group, enters the scene. The company recently unveiled its first model in the country, the Zeekr 001 shooting brake, during an event in Sao Paulo on October 10.

Priced at 428,000 reais ($76,390), the Zeekr 001 is positioned as a luxury offering in the Brazilian EV market. Deliveries of the vehicle are slated to commence in November, with the first store expected to open in December. Zeekr plans to expand its presence in other major cities across Brazil in the coming months.

This move marks Zeekr’s foray into the Latin American market, following its expansion into countries like Mexico, Costa Rica, and Colombia earlier this year. With a presence in over 35 international markets by the end of September, Zeekr is steadily building a global footprint for its electric vehicles.

Prior to its entry into Brazil, Zeekr had announced its expansion into the Norwegian automotive market, adding to its presence in Europe alongside countries like the Netherlands and Sweden. The Zeekr 001 shooting brake and the Zeekr X compact SUV are set to be available for ordering in Norway, with deliveries expected by the end of the year.

The Zeekr 001, boasting a WLTP range of up to 620 kilometers, is the flagship model for the company since its inception in 2021. Zeekr has been on a growth trajectory in terms of deliveries, with a record 21,333 vehicles delivered in September alone. The company aims to achieve a total delivery target of 230,000 vehicles by the end of 2024, representing a significant increase from the previous year.
