Li Auto Achieves Milestone with Over 1 Million L-Series EREV Deliveries

Li Auto, a major player in the Chinese electric vehicle market, has reached a significant milestone with cumulative deliveries of its L-series extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) models surpassing 1 million units. The company announced this achievement today, marking 31 months since the delivery of its first L-series car.

Li Auto has established itself as one of the leading EREV manufacturers in China, with a strong presence in the market. The L-series EREVs offered by the company are all SUVs, including popular models such as the Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9. The Li One, the company’s first model, was discontinued in 2022, paving the way for the current lineup that includes the all-electric Li Mega MPV.

In a move to further expand its electric vehicle portfolio, Li Auto is set to launch two new all-electric SUVs under the i-series brand later this year. The Li i8, the company’s first all-electric SUV, is scheduled for release in July, followed by the Li i6 electric SUV in the second half of the year.

Cumulative deliveries of the Li L-series models have been impressive, with the Li L6, L7, L8, and L9 collectively exceeding 1 million units. The Li L7, in particular, has seen deliveries surpass 290,000 units, making it the best-selling model in Li Auto’s L-series lineup.

EREV models like those offered by Li Auto have gained popularity among consumers in recent years. These vehicles feature an engine that is used as a generator to charge the batteries, rather than directly powering the vehicle. This hybrid technology has been embraced by many automakers, including those traditionally focused on battery electric vehicles (BEVs).

In addition to its milestone achievement, Li Auto reported a strong performance in vehicle deliveries, with 36,674 units delivered in March alone. The company’s first-quarter deliveries totaled 92,864 vehicles, representing a 15.50 percent year-on-year increase. Despite a slight decline from the previous quarter, Li Auto remains on track to meet its annual sales target of 700,000 vehicles for 2025.

As Li Auto continues to lead the way in the EREV market, its commitment to innovation and sustainability remains at the forefront of its mission. With the launch of new all-electric SUVs and a growing lineup of EREV models, the company is poised for further growth and success in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle industry.
