BAUMA 2025, the world’s largest trade fair for construction machinery and equipment, recently concluded in Munich, Germany, attracting over 600,000 visitors from 200 countries. With more than 3,600 exhibitors from 57 countries showcasing innovations across 614,000 square meters of exhibition space, BAUMA 2025 was a testament to the industry’s commitment to sustainability and technological advancement.

The event highlighted the industry’s shift towards decarbonisation, with heavy-duty truck manufacturers leading the charge in electrification and alternative powertrains for construction logistics. MAN Truck & Bus introduced the MAN eTGS 6×2-4 crane tipper chassis, offering over a million configuration variants to cater to diverse construction needs. Volvo Trucks showcased battery-electric powertrains, hydrogen fuel cells, and renewable fuels like biogas, demonstrating the feasibility of electric transport in construction applications.

Scania presented vehicles and power solutions designed for the demanding conditions of the construction and mining industries, including the XT Battery Electric Tipper 6×4 and the V8 770 Heavy Haulage 8×4/4. Mercedes-Benz Trucks unveiled the all-electric eArocs 400 for urban construction transport, while FUSO showcased its Canter and eCanter models suitable for various construction tasks.

The overarching theme at BAUMA 2025 was the industry’s commitment to alternative drives and decarbonisation, with key themes including climate neutrality, digital transformation, sustainable construction practices, and environmentally compatible raw material extraction in mining. Exhibitors showcased low-emission alternative drives for mobile construction machinery, digital platforms for smart construction tools, and sustainable building methods to reduce the carbon footprint.

From zero-emissions trucks to smart construction tools and sustainable building methods, BAUMA 2025 underscored the industry’s transformation towards a cleaner, smarter, and more connected future. With a focus on technological innovation and sustainability, the event highlighted the industry’s continued drive towards a more sustainable and efficient construction sector.
