Xiaomi Unveils YU7 Electric Vehicle with Cutting-Edge In-Car Display Technology

Xiaomi recently debuted its second mass-produced electric vehicle, the YU7, at the “Xiaomi Human-Car-Home Full Ecosystem Launch Event” on June 26. The vehicle comes equipped with state-of-the-art in-car display solutions provided exclusively by TCL CSOT.

The YU7 features a 16.1-inch central control screen, developed in collaboration with Desay SV, as well as three 11.98-inch displays known as HyperVision, created in partnership with Foryou Group. These displays offer a seamless and immersive user experience within the vehicle.

CSOT supplied the three 11.98-inch Mini LED panels required for the HyperVision system, while Foryou Group contributed their PHUD (Projected Head-Up Display) imaging technology support. Foryou Group’s expertise in nanometer-grade optical coating technology ensures uniform light distribution across large projection areas, maintaining consistent image quality at a 110° horizontal viewing angle. Additionally, the company has incorporated ambient light suppression technology to minimize glass reflectivity to below 5%, enhancing the overall user experience.

PHUD technology revolutionizes the way driving and navigation information is presented to the driver. By projecting essential data directly into the driver’s line of sight, PHUD reduces optical reflection errors and improves image clarity and stability. This innovative system enhances driving safety and comfort, making it a valuable addition to the YU7 electric vehicle.

TrendForce’s 2024 Global Automotive LED Market report highlights the benefits of PHUD technology, such as intuitive visibility and superior image quality. The panoramic HUD system utilizes reflective display technology to deliver crucial information to the driver without causing distractions.

Overall, Xiaomi’s YU7 electric vehicle sets a new standard in in-car display technology, thanks to the collaboration with TCL CSOT and Foryou Group. The integration of cutting-edge display solutions enhances the driving experience and underscores Xiaomi’s commitment to innovation in the automotive industry.
