Luxeed, the automotive brand jointly developed by Huawei and Chery, is set to kick off pre-sales of updated versions of its S7 pure electric sedan and R7 coupe SUV on August 8. This marks the beginning of a full model refresh for both vehicles, with the official launch expected in September.

The updated models will feature Huawei’s advanced ADS 4 smart driving system as standard, along with a 192-channel roof-mounted LiDAR. Additionally, they will come equipped with rear-facing high-precision solid-state LiDAR and 4D millimeter-wave radars for enhanced safety and driving capabilities.

Luxeed first introduced the Luxeed S7 pure electric sedan on November 28, 2023. Despite facing challenges such as production shortages, the sedan was re-launched by Huawei in April 2024 with revised pricing to boost its appeal in the market.

On September 24, 2024, Luxeed unveiled its second model, the Luxeed R7, which became the first coupe SUV under Huawei’s HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) business. Initially available only in battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants, the R7 lineup was expanded on December 19, 2024, to include extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) options.

The Luxeed S7 is currently offered in BEV variants with starting prices ranging from RMB 229,800 to RMB 319,800. Meanwhile, the Luxeed R7 is available in three BEV variants priced between RMB 259,800 and RMB 339,800, as well as three EREV variants priced from RMB 249,800 to RMB 319,800.

The upcoming pre-sales of the updated S7 and R7 models mark an important milestone for Luxeed, showcasing the brand’s commitment to innovation and driving excellence in the electric vehicle market. Stay tuned for the official launch of these refreshed models in September.
