The 2025 BMW 8-Series is a luxury vehicle that comes in coupe, convertible, and four-door Gran Coupe versions. It is a high-style, high-end car that is in a class of its own. While it may not have direct rivals, it can be compared to the Audi A7, Mercedes-Benz AMG GT, and Lexus LC.

As a flagship model, the 8-Series range offers impressive performance, style, and features at a price point that is competitive with its rivals. With a TCC Rating of 7.0 out of 10, it is a well-rounded vehicle that offers a luxurious driving experience.

For the 2025 model year, the BMW 8-Series carries over with no notable changes. The range includes a coupe, convertible, and Gran Coupe, each offering a unique blend of style and performance. The exterior design features BMW’s signature kidney grille and sleek curves, while the interior boasts a driver-centric dash with modern technology and high-quality materials.

The 8-Series range offers various engine options, from the 335-hp turbo-6 in the 840i models to the powerful 617-hp M8 Competition. The M850i and Alpina B8 are popular choices for their balance of power and usability. Despite their size and weight, all 8-Series models handle well, making them suitable for long-distance driving.

In terms of fuel efficiency, the 840i model is rated at a respectable 24 mpg combined, while other versions fall below 20 mpg combined. The interior of the 8-Series is luxurious, with premium materials and features befitting its high price tag. Rear-seat space is limited, but that is to be expected in a high-end vehicle.

While the 8-Series is not the most value-oriented option, it offers a range of features and technologies. However, some features like parking sensors and blind-spot monitors are optional extras. The base 840i starts at $91,975, but prices can escalate significantly with additional options and trim levels.
