RoboSense, a leading LiDAR technology company, has recently introduced its latest innovation, the EM4 LiDAR. This groundbreaking product boasts an impressive 1,080 laser channels, making it the world’s first LiDAR with over 1,000 channels. The EM4 is designed to revolutionize the world of smart driving systems, offering a detection range of up to 600 meters and a remarkable 70 percent increase in response time.

Built on RoboSense’s cutting-edge digital architecture platform, EM, the EM4 features a high-definition 3D perception capability with up to 0.050° x 0.025° angular resolution. This advanced technology enables the EM4 to provide unparalleled accuracy and precision in detecting obstacles on the road.

One of the key highlights of the EM4 is its impressive performance in real-world scenarios. The LiDAR is capable of detecting a 40*25cm black cardboard box within 250 meters, allowing for emergency avoidance or braking at speeds of up to 181 kilometers per hour. For white vehicles within 600 meters, the EM4 can enhance emergency avoidance or braking capabilities to 289 kilometers per hour.

In addition to its exceptional detection capabilities, the EM4 utilizes real-time lossless data compression technology, reducing the amount of data transmitted per second from gigabytes to hundred megabytes with a compression rate of 60 percent. This results in more efficient data processing and transmission, enhancing the overall performance of intelligent driving systems.

RoboSense, as China’s largest LiDAR maker, has established itself as a trusted supplier for leading automotive companies such as BYD, SAIC Motor Corp, Geely Auto, and Toyota. In 2024 alone, the company sold an impressive 544,200 units of LiDAR products, reflecting a significant growth of 113 percent compared to the previous year.

The introduction of the EM4 LiDAR marks a significant milestone in the evolution of LiDAR technology, further solidifying RoboSense’s position as an industry leader in the field. With its advanced features and exceptional performance, the EM4 is set to play a crucial role in shaping the future of intelligent driving systems.

In a rapidly evolving landscape where the use of LiDAR technology is a topic of debate, RoboSense’s innovative approach and commitment to excellence ensure that the EM4 LiDAR remains at the forefront of technological advancement. As the automotive industry continues to embrace smart driving solutions, the EM4 stands out as a game-changing technology that promises to enhance safety and efficiency on the roads.
