GAC AION Expands into Cambodian Market with AION V and HYPTEC HT Models
Shanghai (Gasgoo) – GAC AION, a prominent Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer under GAC Group, has officially introduced its key models, the AION V and the HYPTEC HT, to the Cambodian market. This move was announced through a post on January 21 on the company’s official WeChat account.
The AION V, known as the “New Adaptive Electric SUV,” boasts an impressive range of 650km. It comes equipped with luxurious features including 8-point massage seats, an intelligent refrigerator, smart voice control systems, and a robust in-car application ecosystem. Since its debut at the 41st Thailand International Motor Expo in November last year, the AION V has gained popularity among local consumers.
On the other hand, the HYPTEC HT is a premium pure electric SUV that combines cutting-edge technology with artistic design. Specifically tailored for the Cambodian market, it features gullwing-style doors and offers a range of 670km. The model also includes a luxury cabin, a large panoramic sunroof with electric sunshades, and fast charging capabilities.
GAC AION has now expanded its presence to nine countries, including Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Thailand, as the company’s first overseas market, has witnessed significant growth in GAC AION’s operations. In July 2024, GAC AION completed the construction of its Thailand smart factory, which serves as the company’s first electric vehicle manufacturing base outside of China. Additionally, the company launched Thailand’s first international talent cultivation center, providing students and professionals with world-class educational resources in new energy vehicle technology. This initiative aims to establish a leading talent cultivation hub for the global new energy vehicle industry.
The introduction of the AION V and HYPTEC HT models in Cambodia marks another milestone for GAC AION’s international expansion strategy. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, the company is set to make a significant impact in the Southeast Asian market.
