Chinese Automaker JMC Reports 2.2% YoY Rise in January 2025 Sales
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese automaker Jiangling Motors Co., Ltd. (JMC) announced its sales performance for January 2025, with a total of 21,359 vehicles sold, marking a 2.2% year-on-year increase.

Breaking down the sales by vehicle types, JMC saw a 23.65% increase in light-duty coach sales, with 5,088 units sold. Truck sales in January rose by 5.07% year-on-year to 3,586 units. However, the pickup truck segment experienced a 32.75% decline with 3,857 units sold. SUV sales showed a positive growth of 15.61%, totaling 8,828 units.
In 2024, JMC achieved a total sales volume of 341,208 vehicles, up by 10.06% compared to the previous year. The company’s revenue reached 38.374 billion yuan, representing a 15.7% increase year-on-year. Additionally, the net profit attributable to shareholders reached 1.537 billion yuan, marking a 4.2% rise from the previous year.
JMC is making significant strides in the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector. The company recently unveiled the “Yichi 05 Project,” an upgrade to an existing model platform featuring a new powertrain architecture and body design. The Yichi 05 model is set to enter production in June 2025 and includes a mainstream six-in-one powertrain, improved acceleration performance, and Level 2.0 intelligent driver assistance in all variants.
