Xiaomi’s highly anticipated SU7 Ultra is set to make its debut on February 27, with pre-orders currently available at a premium price compared to the regular SU7. The luxury vehicle, designed to embody the essence of this era, has been a passion project for Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun.

Lei Jun expressed his utmost confidence in the SU7 Ultra, stating that the company is aiming to achieve an ambitious sales target of 10,000 units annually. With the launch just around the corner, Xiaomi EV is gearing up for a grand unveiling event scheduled for 7 pm Beijing time on February 27.

The SU7 Ultra, a high-performance variant based on the original SU7 electric sedan, was first unveiled on October 29, 2024. Following its announcement, pre-sales for the vehicle commenced at a price of RMB 814,900 ($112,330). The response was overwhelming, with 3,680 pre-orders received within the first 10 minutes of availability.

Xiaomi’s vision for the SU7 Ultra goes beyond just creating a luxury car – the company aims to rival top players in the automotive industry. Lei Jun envisions the Ultra to be on par with Porsche in performance, Tesla in technology, and renowned German luxury brands Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi in terms of luxury.

Having made a successful entry into the EV market with the regular SU7, Xiaomi is now set to expand its electric vehicle lineup. Alongside the SU7 and SU7 Ultra, the company is gearing up to launch the YU7 electric SUV in the coming months.

With a target of 300,000 EV sales for 2025, Xiaomi is poised to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market. The company’s commitment to innovation, performance, and luxury is evident in its upcoming lineup of vehicles.
