Avatr Technology, a prominent electric vehicle (EV) brand supported by Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei, has recently introduced its latest sedan model, the Avatr 06. Pre-sales for this mid-size sedan have already commenced, with prices starting at RMB 215,900 ($29,720). The official launch of the Avatr 06 is scheduled for next month.

This new sedan from Avatr comes in five different options, catering to the diverse preferences of customers. The Avatr 06 will be available in three battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants and two extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants, making it the third model from Avatr to offer both options to consumers.

Measuring 4,855 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,450 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,940 mm, the Avatr 06 BEV operates on an 800-volt high-voltage platform, providing a CLTC range of up to 650 kilometers. It is offered in both single-motor and dual-motor variants, with the single-motor version boasting a peak power of 252 kW and the dual-motor variant featuring an additional front motor with a peak power of 188 kW.

On the other hand, the Avatr 06 EREV comes equipped with a 1.5 T engine generating a maximum power of 115 kW. It also includes a drive motor with a maximum power of 231 kW and a battery range of up to 240 km. Additionally, the Avatr 06 will come equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 3.0 smart driving system, which includes a 192-channel LiDAR.

Customers who wish to reserve the Avatr 06 can do so by paying RMB 2,000, ensuring that they receive benefits such as a cash discount and a complimentary sports kit. Avatr has recognized the growing popularity of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and EREVs among consumers due to the absence of range anxiety. This led to the introduction of the Avatr 06 as the third model in their lineup to offer EREV variants, following the success of the Avatr 07 SUV and the updated Avatr 11.

Stay tuned for the official launch of the Avatr 06 in April, as it promises to deliver a premium driving experience coupled with advanced technology and impressive performance metrics.
