China’s Sept. car market heats up with launches from FANGCHENGBAO, Lynk & Co, AITO, NIO and more

In September, the Chinese auto market is set to witness a flurry of new model launches, with more than ten significant vehicles hitting the market. Some of the highly anticipated launches include BYD’s FANGCHENGBAO TAI 7, the AITO M7, the IM LS6, the SAIC Audi E5 Sportback, and the NIO ES8. 2026 Kia Carnival
The 2026 Kia Carnival MPV made its debut on September 1, offering four trims priced between 288,900 yuan and 339,900 yuan. The model boasts a flexible 2+2+3 seating layout with sliding, folding, and stowable seats, providing versatility for passengers. Powered by Kia’s Smartstream G2.0 T-GDI engine, the Carnival delivers 233 PS and 353 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Lynk & Co 10 EM-P
The Lynk & Co 10 EM-P is set to hit the market on September 8, with pre-sales already open. Built on the CMA Evo electrified platform, this midsize sedan features a futuristic design inspired by the brand’s The Next Day concept. Equipped with the G-Pilot H7 driver-assistance system, the Lynk & Co 10 EM-P offers advanced safety features and performance.

FANGCHENGBAO TAI 7
BYD’s FANGCHENGBAO brand will launch the TAI 7, a new mid-to-large SUV, on September 9. The TAI 7 features a rugged and futuristic design, powered by a plug-in hybrid system that offers both two-wheel and all-wheel drive options. With a range of 180 km on battery power, the TAI 7 promises efficient and eco-friendly performance.

Chery Fulwin X3L
Chery Group will introduce the Fulwin X3L, a compact range-extended electric SUV, on September 9. With a unique blend of retro styling and EV-inspired details, the X3L offers a longer wheelbase for enhanced interior space. The model is available with a range-extender engine paired with single or dual-motor setups, delivering impressive acceleration and driving range.

All-new Sagitar L
FAW-Volkswagen’s all-new Sagitar L will go on sale on September 9, featuring advanced technology and a sleek design. Powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the Sagitar L offers a refined driving experience. The sedan is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8155 chip and a new voice assistant for enhanced convenience.

All-new IM LS6
IM Motors will launch the all-new LS6 SUVs on September 10, featuring a redesigned front fascia and a powerful REEV-dedicated powertrain. With a range of up to 450 km on battery power and a combined range exceeding 1,500 km, the LS6 promises impressive performance and efficiency. The dual-motor system delivers quick acceleration, making it a top contender in its segment.

ARCFOX T1
BAIC Motor’s NEV brand ARCFOX will introduce the Arcfox T1 compact SUV on September 11, offering a stylish design and efficient performance. Powered by a front-mounted single motor and available in two battery options, the T1 delivers a range of up to 425 km. With its glacier-inspired light bar and advanced features, the T1 is set to make a strong impression in the market.

STELATO S9T
Huawei-backed STELATO will release its first wagon, the STELATO S9T, on September 16, offering both REEV and BEV versions. With a classic wagon design and advanced technology features, the S9T promises a comfortable and luxurious driving experience. The model is available with different battery pack options, providing impressive driving range and performance.

AUDI E5 Sportback
SAIC Audi will launch the AUDI E5 Sportback on September 16, featuring a blend of coupé and wagon elements in its design. Built on an 800-volt platform, the E5 Sportback offers a wide range of powertrain options, including rear-wheel and all-wheel drive setups. With maximum CLTC range of 773 km and quick acceleration, the E5 Sportback promises a thrilling driving experience.

New AITO M7
AITO will unveil the all-new M7 on September 23, featuring updated family styling and advanced technology. All-new NIO ES8
