Geely Galaxy recently unveiled its latest hybrid SUV, the M9, marking a significant milestone for the Geely Auto sub-brand as it reached one million unit sales. The world debut of the M9 took place in Milan, Italy, positioning the six-seat flagship SUV as a global model.

Built on Geely’s Geely Electric Architecture (GEA) platform, the M9 incorporates the next-generation Leishen EM super electric hybrid system. This advanced technology allows the hybrid SUV to achieve a remarkable range of over 1,500 kilometers and consume just 4.8 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers on low charge.

In terms of performance, the M9 boasts a powerful powertrain that can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.5 seconds. Additionally, the model is equipped with the G-Pilot H5 assisted driving system, a mid-range option within Geely’s comprehensive G-Pilot solution.

The G-Pilot H5 system features an impressive hardware setup, including 11 cameras, 3 millimeter-wave radars, and 1 LiDAR for seamless full-scene door-to-door NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) functionality without the reliance on HD maps.

Named after the number nine, a common designation for a car company’s top model, the Geely Galaxy M9 is set to rival other hybrid models such as the Aito M9, Denza N9, and Li Auto’s Li L9. The Geely Galaxy lineup also includes popular models like the Xingyuan, L6, L7, E8, Starship 7, Starshine 8, and LEVC L380.

Geely Galaxy’s rapid growth in sales has propelled the brand to become a key player in the Chinese NEV market. Surpassing one million cumulative sales, the brand has solidified its position as the fastest NEV brand in China to achieve this milestone. In the competitive market, Geely currently holds the second position in retail NEV sales, with 440,592 units sold and a 13.3 percent market share in the January-April period.

Overall, the Geely Galaxy M9 represents a significant step forward for the brand, showcasing its commitment to innovation and cutting-edge technology in the electric vehicle sector. With impressive performance capabilities and a focus on driver assistance features, the M9 is poised to make a significant impact in the hybrid SUV market.
