Genesis is set to make a bold entrance into the realm of high-performance vehicles with the debut of the GV60 Magma, the first electric vehicle from its new performance sub-brand. This new model promises enhanced power, advanced suspension, a sporty new design, and more, setting it apart from other Genesis vehicles on the market. Recently, the GV60 Magma was spotted racing around the iconic Nürburgring track, giving us a closer look at what to expect from this exciting new addition to the Genesis lineup.

The Genesis GV60 Magma features a distinct look and feel, with a wider and lower stance for improved control. The larger lower air intake not only adds to the aggressive new design but also helps to cool the batteries and motor, both of which have been upgraded for enhanced performance. The vehicle was recently seen at the Nürburgring with a production body and minimal camouflage, allowing us to get a better idea of its performance capabilities.

Like other high-performance electric vehicles from Hyundai Motor, such as the new IONIQ 6 N, the Genesis GV60 Magma is expected to deliver over 600 horsepower, if not closer to 700. The current Genesis GV60 Performance model boasts up to 429 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, propelling it from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. Comparing it to competitors like the Porsche Taycan and Tesla Model S Plaid, the GV60 Magma is expected to offer a compelling combination of power and performance at a competitive price point.

Genesis plans to launch the GV60 Magma EV later this year in Korea, followed by releases in the US, Europe, and other global markets. While final pricing and specifications have yet to be announced, it is expected that the starting price for the GV60 Magma will be higher than the Performance model, likely around $75,000. Despite the higher price tag, the GV60 Magma is positioned to offer a more affordable alternative to the Porsche Taycan Turbo and Tesla Model S Plaid, without compromising on performance.

As we eagerly await the official launch of the Genesis GV60 Magma, it’s clear that this new electric vehicle will bring a new level of excitement and performance to the Genesis lineup. With its bold design, enhanced power, and advanced features, the GV60 Magma is poised to make a lasting impression in the world of high-performance electric vehicles.
