Huawei-backed Aito is gearing up for the launch of its latest SUV models, the M8 and the updated M9. The M8 is currently available for pre-sales at a starting price of RMB 368,000 ($50,790) and is expected to rival Li Auto’s Li L8 in the market.

The Aito M8 is a flagship SUV designed for families and is set to be officially launched in April. It has already received over 7,500 pre-orders since the start of pre-sales. The M8 is expected to come in 5-seat and 6-seat options, featuring a sleek exterior design that follows the Aito family styling. With two battery pack capacity options and three battery range options, the M8 offers a combined range of up to 1526 kilometers when fully fueled and charged.

In addition to the M8, Aito is also accepting pre-orders for the updated M9 at a starting price of RMB 478,000. The M9 has received over 3,800 pre-orders within an hour of pre-sales opening. The updated M9 is set to be officially launched later this month and will offer optional hardware upgrades for the current M9 model.

Both the M8 and the M9 have made their way into regulatory catalogs from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, revealing key specifications such as dimensions and wheelbase. The M9, in particular, comes in seven variants with a starting price range of RMB 469,800 to RMB 569,800.

With Aito’s focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, the M8 and the updated M9 are expected to make a significant impact in the competitive SUV market. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting new models from Aito.
