Kubota showcased an impressive array of electric equipment, hydrogen gensets, and commercial robots at this year’s CES event. The highlight of their display was the KATR farm robot, a compact and autonomous vehicle designed to assist with various tasks on the farm. Equipped with self-leveling technology and active suspension, the KATR can navigate uneven terrain with ease.

In addition to the KATR, Kubota also unveiled the Agri Concept 2.0, an electric tractor concept featuring AI-powered automation and a fully electric powertrain. The tractor boasts a unique “grille” that communicates important information to those around it.

On the practical side, Kubota introduced the KX38-4e Electric compact excavator, which features a 49.2 kWh lithium-ion battery capable of providing up to five hours of continuous operation. The excavator also comes with an onboard DC fast charger for quick recharging between shifts. To address charging challenges in areas without grid power, Kubota showcased a hydrogen genset for zero-emission on-site power generation.

One of the key takeaways from Kubota’s display was the seamless integration of their electric products to create a holistic job site or farm solution. By listening to customer feedback and leveraging advanced technologies such as sensors, AI-driven analysis, and robotics, Kubota aims to enhance task management and efficiency.

The company also highlighted innovative implements and attachments, such as the Smart Plant Imager, Smart Autonomous Sprayer, and Robotic Pruner, which use advanced robotics and imaging technology to optimize production precision and accuracy on a plant-by-plant level.

Overall, Kubota’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions was evident in their CES display. With a focus on improving quality of life for individuals and society, Kubota continues to push the boundaries of technology in the agricultural and construction industries.
