Nio’s Firefly, Onvo L60, and Aito M9 have all received top scores in the latest C-IASI evaluation, according to a recent report by CnEVPost. Among these, Firefly stands out as the safest small car in China’s crash test, achieving excellent results and setting high safety standards.

In the evaluation, Firefly received all four ratings at G or higher, making it the top performer in terms of crashworthiness, repair economy, occupant protection, pedestrian protection, and safety assist. This achievement places Firefly among the top three highest-scoring vehicles in the C-IASI evaluation, alongside Aito M9 and Onvo L60.

Nio’s sub-brand, Firefly, has been dedicated to creating small cars with exceptional safety features for global users. Despite the challenges posed by cost and size constraints, Firefly’s team managed to achieve high safety standards through smart vehicle design, robust hardware capabilities, and high-quality materials.

Notably, Firefly is equipped with nine airbags, surpassing the safety features of luxury vehicles like the BMW X7 and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The model’s commitment to safety is further emphasized by its completion of production line adjustments, with deliveries set to accelerate in the coming weeks.

On the other hand, Tesla’s Model 3 received a lower rating in crashworthiness and repair economy in the latest C-IASI evaluation, highlighting the competitive edge that Nio’s Firefly has established in the small car segment.

Overall, Firefly’s success in the C-IASI evaluation reaffirms Nio’s commitment to producing safe and innovative vehicles for the market. With a focus on prioritizing safety without compromising on performance, Firefly sets a new benchmark for small cars in the industry.
