Nio (NYSE: NIO) has officially started accepting pre-orders for the updated ES6 and EC6 SUVs, as well as the ET5 and ET5 Touring sedans in China. The company announced that the official launch of these updated models will take place later this month.

Customers who pre-order any of these four models by paying RMB 5,000 ($690) will receive a bonus credit worth RMB 1,000 upon delivery. Additionally, customers who lock in their orders by June 30 will be eligible for up to 240 free battery swaps over a period of five years.

Show cars of the updated ES6 and EC6 are already available at Nio showrooms, with the official launch scheduled for May 16. Test drives will be open to customers on the launch day. Similarly, show cars of the updated ET5 and ET5 Touring will be available at Nio showrooms starting May 22, with the official launch set for May 25.

The facelifted models of the ES6, EC6, ET5, and ET5 Touring are expected to offer enhanced features and improvements. While Nio has not disclosed the prices of these updated models yet, they are expected to be revealed at the time of their official launch.

The updated models will come with slight tweaks to the exteriors, with significant changes focusing on the interiors and other areas. They will feature horizontal center screens instead of the previous vertical ones and will be equipped with Nio’s own Shenji autonomous driving chip.

According to Nio, the updated ES6 and EC6 will provide a more luxurious, smarter, and safer mobility experience. Since their initial launch, the ES6 and EC6 have garnered nearly 370,000 users, making them leaders in China’s high-end pure-electric SUV market.

The facelifted ET5 and ET5 Touring models will receive upgrades in design, space, handling, and intelligence. Nio aims to enhance the overall driving experience and appeal of these vehicles with the updates.

Overall, Nio’s latest offerings are expected to set new benchmarks in the electric vehicle market. With improved features, design enhancements, and technological advancements, the updated ES6, EC6, ET5, and ET5 Touring are likely to attract a wide range of customers looking for premium electric vehicles.
