Tesla Manager Fired for Speaking Out Against Elon Musk Gives Detailed Interview

Matthew LaBrot, a former Tesla manager who was recently fired for speaking out against CEO Elon Musk, has given a detailed interview shedding light on the situation and his concerns about the company’s future.

LaBrot, a 5-year veteran at Tesla, led an effort to represent employees who believed that Musk was hindering the company’s success. In an open letter, he called for Musk to resign, citing irreparable damage to the CEO’s personal brand and its impact on Tesla’s reputation. Unsurprisingly, LaBrot was quickly let go.

In his interview with Hard Reset, LaBrot elaborated on his time at Tesla and his belief in the mission to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles. Despite being a Tesla owner himself, he became disillusioned with Musk’s behavior on social media and public statements that he felt were detrimental to the company’s image.

LaBrot expressed concerns about the decline in Tesla’s sales and pointed out that the issues were not solely due to the Model Y changeover, as the company claimed. He emphasized the need for Tesla to address the underlying problems and not rely on temporary explanations for declining sales.

Regarding Musk’s leadership, LaBrot criticized the board for allowing him to maintain control of the company despite numerous controversies. He believes that Tesla’s future success hinges on Musk stepping down and divesting his stake in the company.

In a message to current Tesla employees, LaBrot urged them to consider the long-term implications of supporting Musk’s leadership and encouraged them to speak out against the situation. He acknowledged the challenges of the current job market but emphasized the importance of standing up for what is right.

Overall, LaBrot’s interview provides valuable insights into the internal dynamics at Tesla and raises important questions about the company’s future under Musk’s leadership. As Tesla continues to face scrutiny and challenges, it remains to be seen how the company will navigate these issues and whether changes will be made to address the concerns raised by former employees like LaBrot.
