U POWER Tech and King Long Join Forces to Drive Innovation in Electric Vehicles

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- At the IAA TRANSPORTATION 2024 in Hannover on September 17, 2024, U POWER Tech and Xiamen King Long United Automotive Industry Co., Ltd. (“King Long”) solidified their partnership with a strategic cooperation and project implementation agreement. This collaboration, centered around U POWER Tech’s cutting-edge UP Super Board technology, signifies a major milestone for both companies in the electric vehicle (EV) sector.

Paul Li, Founder and CEO of U POWER Tech, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “Our collaboration with King Long has been a journey of overcoming challenges and tests. We believe in the potential of EVs and acknowledge the obstacles in the path of innovation. We appreciate King Long’s trust and support, which have enabled us to launch the ‘Powered by U POWER’ business model in China successfully. Earlier this year, we also partnered with U.S.-based startup Olympian Motors for our skateboard chassis, and we are eager to engage with more partners to drive growth in the global new energy vehicle industry.”

The “Powered by U POWER” business model introduced by U POWER Tech offers advanced skateboard chassis technology and intelligent electric vehicle solutions, empowering automakers to develop EV models quickly in response to market demands. This approach can shorten product development cycles by 12 to 18 months, giving manufacturers a competitive advantage.

U POWER Tech has made significant strides in the global market, with the electric urban logistics vehicle developed in collaboration with King Long receiving Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) from the European Union in August, paving the way for entry into the European market. Furthermore, U POWER Tech has supplied its customized Class 3 chassis products to customers in the U.S., signaling a new era in overseas sales. These high-performance electric vehicle platforms offer U POWER’s global clients a diverse range of options, driving the company’s expansion in international markets.
