Volkswagen is stepping up their game with the development of a hardcore Clubsport version of the highly anticipated ID 2 GTI. However, insiders have revealed that engineers at VW’s R&D center in Braunschweig, Germany are hard at work on a more powerful and focused range-topping variant, aiming for a peak output of 282bhp.
In true Clubsport fashion, this flagship model will come equipped with a host of mechanical and electronic upgrades to enhance performance. One standout feature is the inclusion of a fully mechanical limited-slip differential, offering torque-vectoring capability between the front wheels without the need for brake intervention.
