Xiaomi Automobile, a subsidiary of the Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi, has recently made headlines by becoming a premium partner at Nürburgring, one of the most prestigious race tracks in the world. This partnership marks a significant milestone for the young EV company, showcasing its commitment to innovation and performance in the global electric vehicle industry.

After turning heads with a record-breaking lap at Nürburgring last year, Xiaomi has solidified its presence at the track with a long-term partnership that includes naming rights on the Grand Prix Circuit and more. The company’s success can be attributed to its strong financial backing and production capabilities, courtesy of its parent company Xiaomi Corporation, often referred to as the “Apple of China.”

In many ways, Xiaomi represents a futuristic vision of what Apple’s foray into the automotive industry could have been. With sleek designs and cutting-edge technology, Xiaomi’s flagship vehicles like the SU7 and the 1,548 hp SU7 Ultra are setting new standards in the EV market. The company’s commitment to performance was evident during a press event in China where Xiaomi’s founder Lei Jun confirmed the production of the SU7 Ultra, set to launch in the first half of 2025.

Last October, Xiaomi took a prototype version of the tri-motor BEV to Nürburgring, aiming to break records set by some of the fastest models on the market. The Xiaomi SU7 completed the 20.8 km lap in 6:46:874, setting a new record for a four-door vehicle and establishing the company as a serious player in the ultra-fast car segment.

Following this success, Xiaomi solidified its relationship with Nürburgring by joining an exclusive test group, gaining access to local testing and development opportunities at the track. The company also secured naming rights to its own curve on the track, further cementing its presence in the motorsport world. Nürburgring CEO Christian Stephani praised Xiaomi’s commitment to innovation and electric mobility, highlighting the track as a perfect platform for advancing new technologies.

As part of the partnership, Xiaomi’s logo now adorns banners across the track, showcasing the company’s commitment to pushing boundaries in the automotive industry. The Xiaomi curve on the Grand Prix Circuit and the brand’s visibility at key locations around the track underscore the company’s dedication to performance and innovation.

In conclusion, Xiaomi’s partnership with Nürburgring represents a significant milestone for the young EV company, showcasing its dedication to innovation and performance in the global electric vehicle industry. As the company continues to push boundaries and break records, it is clear that Xiaomi is a force to be reckoned with in the world of ultra-fast cars.
