The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric sedan with three electric motors and a peak power output of 1,138 kW (1,526 hp) has been spotted at the brand’s Beijing factory. This high-performance model is set to go into mass production, with sales launch and deliveries scheduled for March. The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has already made a name for itself as the fastest four-door car on the market.
The high demand for the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra was evident when it started presales on October 29 with a price tag of 814,900 yuan (113,200 USD) and received 3,680 orders in just 10 minutes. Despite its premium price, the demand for this sedan is high, with deliveries expected to begin next month. Dozens of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra vehicles were recently spotted at the Beijing plant, indicating that mass production is well underway.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra stands out with its sporty design elements, including a front spoiler, larger brakes, exclusive yellow body color, and white stripes with “Ultra” inscriptions. The sedan also features a large rear spoiler and a slightly wider body compared to the regular SU7 model.
While official confirmation of mass production has not been released, the presence of numerous SU7 Ultra vehicles at the factory suggests that production has indeed begun. Xiaomi has previously followed a similar strategy with the regular SU7, which started mass production last year before sales commenced in March.
Despite efforts to increase production, the demand for the regular Xiaomi SU7 still outstrips supply. Customers currently face a waiting time of 21-29 weeks after placing an order for the sedan.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is designed for track performance, boasting three electric motors with a combined peak power of 1,138 kW (1,526 hp) and a maximum torque of 1,770 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.98 seconds, making it a formidable contender in the high-performance sedan market. The sedan is equipped with the largest carbon ceramic brake discs on a sports car to date, ensuring optimal braking performance.
In addition, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra features a CATL-made 93.7 kWh ternary NMC battery with a 5.2C DC charging system, enabling fast charging times and a range of 620 km under CLTC conditions. The sedan’s dimensions, wheelbase, and curb weight make it a competitive option in the luxury sedan segment.
Overall, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is a track-ready vehicle that combines high performance with cutting-edge technology, catering to enthusiasts looking for speed and agility on the road.
