Xpeng, the leading Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, is gearing up to unveil its latest offering, the G7 SUV, in June. Anticipated to be a strong competitor in the RMB 250,000 price range, the G7 SUV is set to make waves in the market.

During the first quarter of 2025, Xpeng reported its financial results and held an analyst call to discuss the findings. Key takeaways from the call include Xpeng’s confidence in doubling sales for the year and expecting profitability by the fourth quarter. The company also plans to introduce five model upgrades and new configurations in the second quarter, with deliveries of two key models scheduled for the third quarter.

Looking ahead, Xpeng has ambitious plans for the development of humanoid robots for industrial and commercial applications in 2026. The company showcased its fourth-generation Iron humanoid robot at the Shanghai auto show, with plans to incorporate the advanced Turing chip in its fifth-generation robot. The Turing chip boasts significant AI computing power, positioning Xpeng at the forefront of intelligent robotics technology.

In addition to its robot ventures, Xpeng is expanding its global presence with the addition of over 40 new overseas stores in the first quarter. Overseas sales saw a remarkable increase of over 370% year-on-year, indicating a strong growth trajectory for Xpeng’s international business. The company expects overseas markets to be a key driver of sales and profit growth in the coming years.

The upcoming launch of the G7 SUV in June is expected to be a game-changer for Xpeng, offering a competitive product in the mid-range SUV segment. Additionally, Xpeng will introduce the new generation P7 sports coupe in the third quarter and the Kunpeng super hybrid models in the fourth quarter, further expanding its product lineup.

Chairman and CEO of Xpeng, He Xiaopeng, attributed the company’s success in the first quarter to improvements in organizational capabilities, product offerings, marketing strategies, and technological advancements.

Overall, Xpeng’s strategic initiatives and innovative product lineup position the company for continued success in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle market. Stay tuned for the official launch of the G7 SUV in June and further developments from this innovative automaker.
