Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) has unveiled more images of the upcoming next-generation P7, providing a closer look at the exterior details, including the front and rear of the coupe sedan. The Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer shared these new images on Weibo, showcasing additional design elements of the highly anticipated model.

The launch of the new P7, internally referred to as E29, is scheduled to take place in China in the timeframe of July-August, as confirmed by Xpeng in a recent announcement. This new model is set to replace the current P7i sedan and is expected to be priced at around RMB 300,000 yuan ($41,660). Xpeng has positioned the new P7 as a global market offering, with plans to gauge market demand in different countries and regions to determine its availability.

The original P7 made its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show back in April 2019 and hit the market in April 2020, with deliveries commencing in mid-2020. In March 2023, Xpeng introduced the P7i sedan as a successor to the P7, although the regular P7 continued to be sold concurrently for a period of time. In November 2024, Xpeng took a step further by launching the P7+, an entirely new model rather than a mere facelift for the P7 lineup.

The P7+ is tailored for family use, offering increased space and comfort, whereas the new P7 is designed to deliver a more comprehensive and personalized experience in terms of intelligence and performance. The design of the new P7 was led by Xpeng’s chief exterior designer Rafik Ferrag, a talented French designer recognized for his work on the first-generation P7 back in 2018.

With a keen eye on the global market and a commitment to innovation, Xpeng is poised to make a significant impact with the introduction of the new P7. The company’s dedication to delivering cutting-edge electric vehicles that combine style, performance, and intelligence is clearly evident in the meticulous design and advanced features of the upcoming P7 model.

Stay tuned for more updates on the new Xpeng P7 as its launch date approaches, and anticipate a groundbreaking addition to the EV market that promises to redefine the driving experience for customers worldwide.
