Zeekr, a renowned electric vehicle (EV) maker listed on the NYSE as ZK, is set to kick off pre-sales of its highly anticipated large hybrid SUV, the Zeekr 9X, on the opening day of the 2025 Chengdu auto show on August 29. The event is scheduled to commence at 10 am Beijing time on the same day, marking a significant milestone for the company.

The 2025 Chengdu auto show will be held at the Western China Expo City in Chengdu, Sichuan province, from August 29 to September 7. Media day is scheduled for August 29, while the general public can attend from September 1 to 7. Zeekr’s booth, located at H1103 in Hall 11, is expected to showcase the cutting-edge features of the Zeekr 9X.

The Zeekr 9X represents a groundbreaking achievement for the company as it marks Zeekr’s foray into the hybrid vehicle segment. Boasting a 2.0T hybrid engine and a full-stack 900-volt hybrid high-voltage architecture, the SUV is poised to set new standards in the industry.

Measuring 5,239 mm in length, 2,019 mm in width, and 1,819 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,169 mm, the six-seat full-size luxury SUV offers a spacious and comfortable interior for passengers. Rumors circulating earlier this month suggested that the Zeekr 9X would be priced around RMB 550,000 ($76,910), making it an attractive option for consumers seeking a premium hybrid SUV.

The Zeekr 9X is the first model built on the innovative SEA-S platform, featuring three silicon carbide motors with a peak output power of 1,030 kW and a maximum horsepower of 1,400. This powerful configuration enables the SUV to achieve supercar-level acceleration, going from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds.

Equipped with a 2.0T engine delivering a peak power output of 205 kW and a thermal efficiency exceeding 46 percent, the Zeekr 9X offers impressive performance capabilities. The model also features a 70-kWh ternary lithium battery, providing a range of over 380 kilometers. With a charging rate of up to 6C, the SUV can charge from 20 percent to 80 percent in approximately 9 minutes and from 10 percent to 80 percent in 10.3 minutes, ensuring convenience and efficiency for users.

The launch of the Zeekr 9X at the Chengdu auto show is set to captivate automotive enthusiasts and industry experts alike, as Zeekr continues to push boundaries and redefine the future of mobility. Stay tuned for more updates on this groundbreaking hybrid SUV from Zeekr.
