The 2025 Genesis G80 is a luxurious midsize sedan that offers a blend of performance, elegance, and comfort. It is available with two turbocharged gas engines and a fully electric Electrified version. Competitors in this segment include the Cadillac CT5, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Volvo S90, and BMW 5-Series.

The exterior of the 2025 Genesis G80 has been updated with new front and rear fascias, a redesigned grille, updated headlights, and new wheel designs. The interior features a refreshed cockpit and a new three-spoke steering wheel design. The signature Genesis shield grille is complemented by the brand’s “two-line” headlights, which now feature micro lens array technology for improved illumination and reduced glare.

Inside the cabin, you’ll find finely stitched leather upholstery, tasteful metal and wood trim, and a 27.0-inch integrated infotainment display. The G80 comes standard with heated and power-adjustable front seats, with options for premium quilted leather and power comfort upgrades. The sedan offers seating for four adults, although the Electrified version may compromise rear passenger and cargo space due to the battery.

The Genesis G80 is equipped with all-wheel drive across the lineup. The 2.5T model features a 2.5-liter turbo-4 engine with 300 hp, while the 3.5T model boasts a twin-turbocharged V-6 engine producing 375 hp. The Electrified G80 offers 365 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque from its dual-motor EV powertrain, although it is heavier than the gas models. Adaptive dampers, road sensors, and rear-wheel steering are available on the 3.5T and Electrified versions for dynamic road performance.

In terms of safety, the 2025 Genesis G80 has earned a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and is equipped with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitors, and semi-autonomous highway driving assist.

Pricing for the 2025 Genesis G80 starts at $58,350 for the base 2.5T trim, with the top-of-the-line 3.5T Sport Prestige model starting at $78,250. The pricing for the Electrified G80 lineup has not yet been announced, but it is expected to start at around $76,000.

The 2025 Genesis G80 is manufactured in South Korea, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Overall, the Genesis G80 is a standout option in the midsize luxury sedan segment, offering a combination of style, performance, and value for discerning buyers.
