Yangwang, the ultra-luxury sub-brand of BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY), has announced the upcoming launch of its new model, the U7 luxury sedan. The U7, priced in the RMB 1 million range, began pre-sales last November and is set to hit the market soon.
The brand revealed that it has completed the development and testing of the DiSus-Z body control system, a cutting-edge technology that will be featured in the U7. DiSus-Z is the most high-end branch of the DiSus system, offering unprecedented ride comfort that surpasses traditional mechanical suspensions.
The DiSus-Z technology allows the Yangwang U7 to make millisecond-level vertical adjustments to its chassis, providing a smooth and stable ride even on bumpy roads or sudden speed bumps. This advanced system redefines comfort in flagship sedans, making driving feel like “walking on flat ground” at all times.
In a recent video shared on Weibo, Yangwang showcased the U7’s suspension system, demonstrating its ability to maintain a smooth ride over rough terrain. The brand also highlighted a unique rooftop maze game controlled by the U7’s suspension system, showcasing the precision and sensitivity of DiSus-Z technology.
The U7 is powered by BYD’s e4 technology, delivering over 1,000 horsepower and precise control capabilities. With a sleek design and impressive specifications, including a Cd 0.195 wind resistance, the U7 is positioned as a top-tier new energy flagship sedan in its class.
Yangwang offers both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) variants of the U7. The BEV model is equipped with a 135.5 kWh battery pack, capable of delivering a CLTC range of 720 kilometers and supporting fast charging up to 500 kW.
Since its debut, Yangwang has been making waves in the ultra-luxury market, with the U7 joining the brand’s lineup of high-end vehicles like the U8 off-road SUV and the U9 electric supercar. With a focus on innovation and luxury, Yangwang is set to continue its success in delivering premium electric vehicles to discerning customers.
