Geely Automobile Achieves Impressive Sales Growth in July 2024

Geely Automobile Holdings Limited has reported a total sales volume of 150,782 vehicles in July 2024, marking a significant increase of around 13% compared to the same period last year. This growth trend is a positive sign for the Group’s performance in the automotive market.

A notable highlight of the sales report is the strong performance of new energy vehicles (NEVs), which accounted for 59,051 units sold in July. This represents a remarkable year-on-year surge of 58%, showcasing the increasing demand for electric vehicles in the market. The sales of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) also saw substantial growth, with BEVs reaching 30,858 units (26% increase) and PHEVs hitting 28,193 units (119% increase) compared to the previous year.

In the first seven months of the year, Geely Automobile has sold a total of 1,106,512 vehicles, reflecting a remarkable year-on-year jump of 36%. This steady growth trajectory is a testament to the Group’s strong market presence and customer appeal.

Furthermore, the export volume of Geely Automobile surged by 65% in July, with 32,382 vehicles being exported. This positive performance contributed to a year-to-date export volume of 229,810 units, representing a 67% increase from the same period last year. This growth in export sales highlights the Group’s expanding international reach and market competitiveness.

Breaking down the sales by specific brands and product ranges, Geely-branded vehicles saw a 9% year-over-year increase in July, with 113,855 units sold. The new energy vehicle range Galaxy made a significant contribution to this growth, with 16,704 units sold and a year-on-year surge of 66%. Additionally, ZEEKR and Lynk & Co brands also performed well, with 15,655 and 21,272 vehicles sold last month, showing year-on-year increases of 30% and 24% respectively.
