Guangxi Auto Group recently unveiled its Shanghai Advanced Center, a pivotal move in advancing research and development of core components for new energy vehicles (NEVs). The inauguration of the center signifies a significant step in the group’s commitment to innovation in the NEV sector.

Functioning as the Shanghai branch of Wuling Automobile Industry Co., Ltd., the Shanghai Advanced Center serves as a hub for consolidating the group’s expertise in vehicle manufacturing, components, and powertrain systems. With a focus on electric motor control systems and electric motors, the center aims to drive breakthroughs in critical technologies and innovative applications.

Equipped with state-of-the-art simulation, testing, and R&D platforms, the center also plays a crucial role in fostering Guangxi Auto’s technological innovation, talent development, and industrial synergy. By leveraging Shanghai’s cutting-edge technologies and global outlook, the center is poised to make significant contributions to the advancement of NEV components.

In recent years, Guangxi Auto Group has made substantial investments in transitioning to the NEV sector. The group has successfully developed essential products, including electric motors, electric motor control systems, and electric drive axles. The Shanghai Advanced Center is committed to aligning its research and development efforts with customer demands and operational needs. Through a coordinated “headquarters + R&D center” model, the center aims to provide forward-looking technical solutions and accelerate the commercialization of cutting-edge technologies.

In addition to the Shanghai Advanced Center, Guangxi Auto Group has established innovation hubs in Wuhan and Hong Kong to further develop core technologies for NEVs.
